NEWS

It looks like spring may finally have arrived in Scotland. About time too as we've had a very cold wet start to the year. My own course has been alright at the shallow end!!

The Office of Fair Trade in the UK are trying to clamp down on rogue websites operating here. Here are a couple of tips they recommend to check if the website you are on is legitimate. Look for an address and contact telephone number. If you go further and are considering making an order check the server is secure. A padlock should appear on the bottom corner of the screen and the address bar should show the letters SSL in the page address.

In 2008 we will be on our travels again to the USA, Europe and hopefully the Far East where golf is growing at a huge rate. Of course as the sport grows so do the number of collectors. Our sport has a great history and it can be best appreciated by collecting implements and memorabilia from bygone eras.

We have introduced a new golf tour planning service. For $30 we will do all the planning for your golf tour to Scotland. This will include courses to play and where to stay with travel times between locations. Of course we know all the good courses including the hidden gems which will add enormously to your scottish golfing experience. To find out more simply e mail us.

If you're looking for a gift then look in our Connoisseurs or memorabila sections. We have recently introduced books which you'll find in the memorabilia section. Remember if you wish any help in finding the right item then e mail us and we'll be happy to make suggestions to fit your budget. If you seek something in particular let us know and we'll try to find it for you at auctions or through our contacts in the collecting world.

Why not make this the year when you try a game with a set of Hickory clubs. We have a number of playable clubs and if this of interest we can put a set together for you.

If you have any questions about any of our stock don't hesitate to e mail us. Our site has a secure server so you can buy with confidence.

We send items by Airmail which takes 5-7 working days to USA and the far east. To Europe the service takes 3-5 working days.If you need items quicker we use couriers although this is more expensive.

Antique Golf is run by Iain Walker.

We have been operating for 16 years.

Iain regularly contributes to Golf magazines and gives talks on the history of the game.If you would like him to talk to your club or Society just e mail us.

A joke for you-

A golfer stands on the first tee and smacks a great drive. Unfortunately this rebounds off a tree and hits him right between the eyes. Dead!

Ten minutes later he's at the pearly gates still in his golf gear.

St Peter looks him up and down and says. "What are you here for?"

"One!"

Finally if you are looking for something in particular just e mail us and we'll do our best to find it for you.
